Special Prayerlink Request:
Since 2021, Worldlink has supported an increasing number of partners in Cambodia. To date, Worldlink supports 434 missionary partners in the country, including 73 church planting trainers. The church has experienced significant growth since Cambodia emerged from war approximately 30 years ago. Strategically located in Southeast Asia, Cambodia holds potential as a catalyst for missions throughout the region. Sadly, conflict with neighboring Thailand has erupted and resulted in the displacement of over 150,000 Cambodians along the border.
Odar Meanchey, one of the affected regions, is where several of Worldlink’s initial partners began their work and continue to receive support. In response to current challenges, Worldlink’s missionary partners in the province have provided essential rations and shared the Gospel with those receptive during this difficult period.
Several days ago we received this update and prayer request from our Southeast Asia Regional Coordinator in Cambodia regarding ministry during these difficult times.
“One example of how it affects the church and our work: One of our church planting school coordinators in Preah Vihear is a high-ranking military officer and is now on the front lines of the fights. So, it is affecting our team very directly. Another example: Thousands of people are being evacuated from the conflict areas. Some are in our target area. Others are believers trying to help the evacuees with food and shelter. We have church planters in both affected provinces, some who are close to the area and have been forced to flee. Others who are farther away and are assisting, including in the nearby province of Siem Reap. While it will disrupt our work in Preah Vihear it likely will not affect other areas. But, we are also trying to coordinate some food/shelter assistance for evacuees through churches.
Please pray for peace between Cambodia and Thailand. We see this as an opportunity for the church to show love and peace in a difficult time!”

Mallam Kabiru Abdullahi (not his real name) is an Imam who hated Christians with a passion. During Ramadan, he fell sick and was hospitalized. I paid him a visit, and I asked him if I could pray for him in Jesus’ name, and he agreed, but his family refused, so I had to leave. I came back to the hospital to visit him again another day, and this time, he was alone in the room. I had the opportunity to share the Gospel with him and pray for him. After one month he came to my house and said he had come to thank me, that after that prayer, Jesus Christ healed him completely, so he wants to know more about Jesus Christ. Thank God that today, Mallam Kabiru is a believer serving Jesus to the glory of God!

Makanaka Chibende says he wants to thank God for our camps because it was at one of these that he made a decision to receive Christ. He was born in a Christian family, and his parents are pastors at a local church and so he didn’t see the need to accept Christ. However, at one of these camps, he was convicted by the Holy Spirit and accepted the Lord. Thank God that since then, his life has never been the same again.

I was traumatized for over 2 years because of the death of my parents and siblings from the attack of Fulani herdsmen. I was deeply devastated and felt that God was no longer in existence. However, during a session of Trauma healing held in our community, my heart began to heal, and I have made a decision to forgive those who killed my family members. I recommitted my life to Jesus Christ and I am doing great and have received the help I needed. Thank God for his restoration.

We conducted community outreach and support for the helpless including paying visits to some elders who live alone. We did not only share the message of salvation with them but gave them talking Bible. An old woman abandoned by her children exclaimed, "So God still loves me." And appreciating the talking Bible we gave her she said, "Now I have someone to talk to. You have brought me a comforter greater than the children I gave birth to." Pray that God’s word may minister to her as she listens to it.
Tue 5. Sali & Delphine – Cameroun
Thank God for helping us set up school of missions in Cameroon. Pray that the students who pass through the school may be fully prepared for effective ministry in our cities and villages. The students and I went through Lara and Mumarwa villages preaching the gospel of Christ. Thank God for 23 people who gave their lives to Christ. Some of them brought their charms and amulets which we destroyed.

ALA’s husband is an unbeliever who struggled with severe alcoholism. He cared little for the things of God. His alcoholism prevented him from catering to the family's daily needs and well-being. In response to this situation, the church supported the family by praying for them and offering guidance and help. We thank God that the man came to one of the crusades organized by the church. There he heard the plain gospel message. He confessed all the wrongs he had been doing and accepted Jesus Christ into his life with all his heart. This led to a profound change in his behavior as he began to care for his family and take responsibility. He came to the Christmas service with his family where he shared his testimony. We thank the Lord for the work he is doing in his life and in our church.

Thank God for opening the door of ministry in a new area in our zone. Ruvuma is in the southern part of Tanzania. We reached out to many people of all ages in this area encouraging them to meet God every day through reading the Bible and prayer. We also conducted Sunday School teachers’ training there. The challenge is shortage of volunteers. Pray that God may send us more volunteers.

Thank God for the opening of several new Bible clubs in Muslim schools. We engage the youths in lunchtime fellowship and devotion. We have also set up a few Churches Community Children Bible Study (CCCBS). These are neighborhood Bible clubs targeting non-Christian children. Pray as we meet with the children that they may understand the gospel message and turn to Christ for salvation.

Conducted outreach mission to some villages. We met with youths and children in the street and shared the gospel message with them. Thank God for 6 people who came to faith in Christ. Fahima’s mother is a Christian but her father, a Muslim. She hated to hear the name of Jesus. But when she came with her sick daughter, and she was healed after we prayed for her in the name of Jesus, she decided to accept Jesus as her savior. Please pray that she may remain faithful to the Lord.

Our first attempt to share the gospel in the village was rebuffed by the village chief who chased us away. But the Lord intervened and touched his heart. The village called us back to deliver our message. The Lord is at work, and we thank him for opening doors that were closed by men. Thank God also for two brothers, young believers, who have joined a local Bible College to be trained as evangelists.

Elisheva, 13, has been going through tough times and problems for quite a while but she could not share this with her loving Christian parents. It was only with the help of her mates in our camp, who are also fellow students of the school support program, that she could come to us for counseling. She totally opened up as the Holy Spirit touched her and completely delivered and healed her. She is now free, smiling and helping others. Thank God for the grace to give the children needed academic, emotional, and spiritual support.

And 10 of the 412 people who gathered at the Youth and Children's Camp where I was the Bible expositor committed their lives to Jesus Christ. Thank God for these new young believers. Venkulu, 75, was addicted to alcohol. He thought no one could help him overcome his addiction. But when he heard the gospel during our personal evangelism, he understood that only Jesus could help him. Following his acceptance of Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord and obedience in water baptism, the Lord has indeed delivered him. We thank the Lord for always transforming a sinner into a saint.

We visited the training center where HSB used to teach children. We met many kids there and prayed with them. HSB spoke with a heavy heart lamenting how he once destroyed the future of many children there. But now, he wants to help them know Jesus and follow the right path. He asked for prayers for a safe place to which he could bring the kids and nurture them. "This place belongs to the Taliban, but now I just want to share the truth of Jesus here. I want to build a center for young people to learn about Jesus and grow up in peace and love." Pray for God to send the help needed to fulfill this desire.

Lalita’s father is a monk. Her two brothers died suddenly on the same day, one in the morning and the other in the evening. Lalita felt despondent and lost faith in the god of her father, the god who brought only sorrow and suffering. So, she started looking for a peacemaker. We met her and told her about Jesus, the only one who gives lasting peace through the work of salvation that he did for humankind. Lalita believed in Jesus and experienced his peace. Thank God for drawing her to himself. Pray for lasting peace and steady growth in her faith.
Fri 22. Damber - South Asia
Over the past three months, I have engaged in personal evangelism and in special outreaches. One meaningful opportunity came during my daughter’s birthday celebration. I invited a small group of people to our home to join us in the celebration. As we served them food, I shared about God’s faithfulness in our daughter’s life, how God gave her life and how He desires to give each person true and abundant life. One of those present later sent this message:
Thank you, uncle, for inviting me to your daughter’s birthday celebration. That evening became a turning point in my life. As I listened to your message about the life that Jesus Christ offers, something stirred deep in my heart. I had never heard life spoken about in such a hopeful way. Since my childhood, my life has been filled with pain and brokenness. I’ve experienced abuse, and many times, I didn’t want to live anymore. There was no peace at home, no joy, and no hope for the future. The world seemed dark and cruel, and I couldn’t see a way out.
But that evening, as you shared how God gave life to your daughter and how He wants to give each of us a new life, I felt a spark of hope. In my heart, I quietly said, ‘I want that life. I want the peace, that joy, and that purpose that only Christ can give.’ I’m choosing to believe in that life today, and I want to walk in it. Please pray for me as I begin this journey with Jesus.
Please pray for him and for Damber’s ministry.

I routinely evangelize at the public square in MLT every other Saturday, while I take a walk. I also utilize every opportunity to share the gospel in my everyday activities. Thank God for 6 people who came to faith during the quarter. They are all being prepared for baptism. Ask the Lord to keep them faithful to himself despite the challenges they will face in their pilgrimage.

Thank God for drawing Atha to faith and helping him to abandon the worship of mountain and river gods. Initially he feared the consequences of abandoning the worship and customs of his villagers. He also faced intense persecution and discrimination, but he refused to succumb. Instead, he is boldly talking about his newfound faith. Pray that he and his family may continue to grow deeper in their faith and their fellowship with the Lord and the brethren.
Mon 25. Buth – Cambodia
The decline in AA’s business and income so destabilized his family, they were on the brink of divorce. Thank God for KM, a fellow professional who shared the gospel with him. AA did not decide to believe in God immediately. At KM’s invitation, however, he came to church one Sunday. There he received a spiritual touch through the message and decided to accept Christ as his savior. A week later, God opened a door of employment in the carpet factory. Thank God for intervening in his life and saving his family.
Tue 26. Esther - Vietnam
We are currently running summer outreach programs, and it has been really encouraging to see many kids hearing about Jesus, some for the very first time. We have a 7-year-old girl who comes to church regularly. She said, after we shared Lot’s story during the summer program, “I want to look to God and choose Him. I don’t want to go far from Him like Lot did.” It was a simple response but so sincere and we have since noticed she has been praying more, an indication of her resolve to walk closer with God. Thank God for working in the hearts of these children. Pray that they will continue to grow in their faith and dedication to the Lord.

My team and I had the opportunity to teach the Bible and lead a one-day summer program for children and teenagers at a rehabilitation center. There are 60 young people there—some are homeless, some have made mistakes, some have suffered abuse or been abandoned by their families. Most of them have never heard about Jesus. The theme was "Born to Be Loved," through which we shared with them the powerful truth of God's love. Pray that the message they heard may help them understand how much they are loved by God and His people.

Andri only completed high school and was unemployed. He was a man consumed with anger and unforgiving spirit. He lived with disappointment for years after his parents’ divorce, a common occurrence in the community. Because of this disappointment, he became involved in all kinds of juvenile delinquencies. When I shared the Gospel with him, he saw a light of hope enter his heart. He decided to follow Jesus. Thank God for the peace he now enjoys with himself and with others, especially his parents whom he has been able to forgive.

Thank God for the salvation of Angela and her husband. Angela was suffering from anxiety. After sharing the gospel message with her, we invited her to our church. Pray that the couple may mature in their faith. Pray also for the steady growth of the house group.

During the quarter, we have gone house-to-house and on the streets of other communities to proclaim the Gospel to all. We also conducted outdoor activities involving music and theater. About 50 people heard the gospel message.
We were at a wedding of a couple who had just come to faith in Christ and decided thereafter to get married. They already have two children. They shared their testimony of how God has transformed their lives and their relationship. Thank God for their experience of the transformation work of the Holy Spirit.

NNI is 16 years old. Her mother contacted us because she had atypical dermatitis, which the doctors failed to successfully treat. Instead of healing, her body became inflamed, she could not walk and became bedridden. We presented the gospel to her family, and they accepted Jesus. We prayed for her and in 15 days, she was completely healed. The Lord worked a miracle, because they repented of their sins. This family had been devoted to San Lázaro, one of the idols of the Island’s witchcraft. Thank God for the impact of their testimony on the community and for her family.
