This month I will speak at the missions conference for a church where the theme is “God is Not Quarantined!“ As you read through this month’s Prayerlink, on day 1 you will see that some of our partners have contracted Covid-19 and they are quarantined for their rest and others’ safety. But, as you read the rest of the daily updates and prayer requests you will clearly see that God is not quarantined!

God is still powerful (he needs no rest) and he is working in every corner of our globe (he is not restricted). Rejoice with us over his blessings and ask for his further empowerment and grace.

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. (Luke 18:1)

Thank you for being part of the group that prays and does not give up. Not only are your prayers effective in empowering the ministry of our partners, they are also a monumental encouragement to those partners. To know that on a certain day thousands of brothers and sisters are lifting them up to the Lord brings great strength to those who are serving in remote areas.

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:28-32)

Jesus gives reason for terror and for joy. His words above remind us that we are opposed by adversaries that can do us great physical harm even death and, worse than that, there is a hell and that some will go there after death. He also reminds us that God values us greatly and has made the way for us to not only escape hell but to be with him now and forever.

Knowing that, Worldlink’s partners are bringing the bad news of danger and punishment and the good news of salvation and joy to unreached people in 38 countries. As you pray through this month’s Prayerlink, you will see that the Lord is bringing people to himself even in the midst of the pandemic. Please join us in praying that He would bring more and more fruit.
