ASIA REGION

Wed 1. K. Paul Raj – India
Thank God for Adiand his family who made a complete U-turn from idolatry and now trust the Lord and are active in church. Pray that the Lord may sustain them and pray also for the success of Paul Raj’s efforts to reach more families in Parkalagudem village where there is also the need to erect a church building.

Thu 2. P. Prupamma India
Prupamma conducted hospital visits and personal evangelism in four villages. Thank God for two people who opened their hearts to the gospel message. Please pray for effective ministry as he continues hospital visitation and ministry to families. Pray for God’s provision to build a church in Rajerla.

Fri 3. P. Worldlink USA
Today and tomorrow is Worldlink's Annual Corporate meeting and Tri-annual Board meeting. Please pray for a clear understanding of God's direction for our next ministry year.

Sat 4. P Vijayakumar - India
Vijayakumar reports: “Ashok from Parvathapuram village was an enemy of the Christian faith and a thorn in the flesh of our ministry. God in his mercy gave me a chance to share the gospel message with him. There and then, we prayed together as he confessed Jesus as his Savior. He started reading the Bible immediately and is a constant in the church services. Thank God for this miracle and pray that he will be the Paul of our area.”

Sun 5. Modi Thatti – India
Modi conducted gospel and cottage meetings, and distributed gospel tracts in Uppusake village, Gopalapuram. These efforts resulted in two people joining the family of God. Pray for the resources needed to erect a church building in this area, and for God’s blessings on the efforts to reach area youth.

Mon 6. James Myint – Myanmar
Testimony of Naing: “As my parents are strong Buddhists, any association with other religions and especially my Christian friends was totally prohibited. But I managed to attend a Salvation crusade recently and the Holy Spirit convicted my heart as I came to understand I am lost and in need of Jesus. I wept profusely as I was convicted of my sins. I decided to receive Christ’s salvation and live the rest of my life for him.”

Tue 7. John Soyam – India
Thank God for His intervention in the health of Kursa. She was so weak that she could not do anything at home. Her incapacitation was upsetting to her. She responded to the gospel message and experienced God’s miracle power as John prayed for her. Please pray for the of her physical and spiritual health. 

Wed 8. Daniel Thatti – India
Soyam was a drunkard and a problem to his family. They were worried about his life and character. Thank God for the gospel that has changed his life completely. He has given up his old habits and is now consistently attending prayer meetings. Please pray that his family may also come to faith in the Lord.

Thu 9. V. Barnabas – India
Laxmi, was deep in immorality and refused to accept the gospel message when Barnabas shared it with her. She recently was suffering from a serious illness and God gave Barnabas another opportunity to minister His Word to her. God opened her heart and she accepted the message, confessed her sins and gave up her immoral lifestyle. Please pray that she may be a witness for the Lord in her village.

Fri 10. Abhilash – India
Abhilash reports: “We witness to the people in Kondotty and various parts of Malappuram District in Kerala State. The majority of them are Muslims. it is difficult to minister to them but we do it on regular basis. Every week, we visit fifteen to twenty houses. Over one hundred and fifty people have heard the gospel message within two months. We have also given gospel tracts to many others. Thank God for a Hindu lady, Sandya, who accepted the Lord as her Savior.”

Sat 11. Bijay – India
In January, Bijay spent time teaching the Santhal Tribe children in Jharbari village. On January 10th, the missionary couple in that village was thrown out of their house which was also the location of their house church. As a result, they had to urgently find a piece of land on which they have now started to erect a small building. Bijay was able to give support to cover it with iron roofing sheets. Now they hope to start their fellowship again under this tiny hut. Praise the Lord for the courage and perseverance of this missionary couple.

Sun 12. Cornileu – Changin Madu, India
Every Wednesday evening, Cornileu goes out onto the streets and from house to house to share the good news of Jesus in the villages nearby. Please pray for a rich harvest of his labor in these villages.

Mon13. Hemam Devi – India
Hemam ministers to women at her local church. She is involved in preaching to and teaching women during their meetings. Please pray for effective ministry so that those who receive her teaching may go out and declare God’s message of salvation in their neighborhoods.

Tue 14. Paul Paida – India
Paul organized an evangelistic conference at Jinnagutta village in January where the Word of God was proclaimed. Thank God for bringing five people into His kingdom from that village as well as three other families from Rajiv Wagar village. Pray that God may sustain the faith of Soyam who turned to the Lord from idolatry and traditional practices.

Wed 15. Felix – Argentina
Felix facilitates a football sports ministry. Working with a volunteer teacher in the area of Escuelita, they invite children and teenagers from the neighborhood for football coaching, after which he shares the message of the gospel with them. Pray for two more teachers to join them to better coordinate the ministry.

Thu 16. Moses – Togo In partnership with Gideons International, Moses donated 1,763 New Testaments to children and teachers in 12 schools in Lomé. He also participated in the International Prison Ministry training held in Nairobi Kenya, and on Monday, March 28, he conducted training for volunteer prison ministry facilitators in Lomé. The 147 participants studied the book of Mark, and examined who Jesus is, why he died, and what he expects of us. Pray for effective prison ministry.

Fri 17. Steven – Tanzania
Steven conducted a seminar for 80 youth in January and organized a three-day primary school pupil’s camp in February. Children learned Bible stories, Christian lifestyle, and personal hygiene. Thank God for three Muslim youth who accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. They are in need of our prayers so that they can grow in their knowledge of Jesus Christ and the Word of God.

Sat 18. Bereket– Ethiopia
Bereket was in Arbamench at the end of January for a 3-day conference where he preached the Gospel message to about 2500 participants. The power of God was upon him and at work in the lives of unbelievers. Thank the Lord for ninety-five people who came to faith in Jesus Christ.

Sun 19. Mathe – Congo DR
Mathe organizes personal evangelism every Friday. He also reaches out to street children with the gospel. More than nine hundred children have heard the gospel through these activities. Pray for the impact of God’s Word in their lives and protection for the brethren.

Mon 20. David – Beni, Congo DR
After the training that was conducted for school chaplains in Beni, a new Bible club with fifty members from the 4th through 6th grades was inaugurated in Maboyo Elementary School. Pray that this club may be an avenue for mentoring the children and helping them to build their lives on Godly principles. Thank God for about 200 youth who participated in the youth camp and 31 of them who received the Lord as their Savior.

Tue 21. Lucas – Tanzania
Every Sunday in January through early March, Lucas visited the prison to conduct a Bible Study. Thank God for this open door to the prison. Twenty prisoners, 19 of which are Muslims, attended regularly. Lucas also gave them soap for which they were grateful. At the beginning, some prisoners tried to disturb the meetings but the Lord took control. He gave Lucas wisdom to deal with their complicated religious questions, and directed him to concentrate on simple Bible stories like that of Joseph. Please pray that these prisoners may find peace in Christ.

Wed 22. Cabra – Zambia
Cabra was one of the facilitators of three training programs that was organized with the purpose of equipping the Christian teachers with skills that are required to implement ministry activities in school. Seventy-five volunteers participated in the training. He also visited 29 Bible clubs during the quarter and distributed Bible study guides and Daily Power (Daily Bible reading materials for youth).

Thu 23. Nobert – Congo DR
Norbert continues to visit the Remand home (home for young criminals) to share God’s Word with child prisoners. About 60 children regularly participate in this program. Please pray that this ministry may bear the fruit of repentance in their lives.

Fri 24. John – Zambia
After a life-skills lesson on dealing with challenges children face in families, Alex came to John and said, “Uncle John, I now know I can be of great help to my family as a Christian. I have always been pitying myself and thinking that my family is the worst and that there is nothing good that can come out of it. My Father is a drunkard and he and my mother are always quarreling. But today, I have learned that I can play a role in bringing peace to my brothers and sisters and my whole family by praying for them and showing them that Jesus loves them.” Please pray for God to help Alex be an instrument of his love in his family.

Sat 25. Gideon – Uganda
Gideon organized a vision casting and planning meeting with 12 ministry leaders from 8 districts participating. They shared plans on how to build teams and effectively support these teams to reach out and minister to children, young people and adults, in the schools, churches and communities. They also took time to pray and encourage one another. Pray that this may lead to fruitful ministry in these districts. Gideon also visited 10 Bible clubs in primary and secondary schools in Tororo district.

Sun 26. Berhanu – Ethiopia
Berhanu organized a new Bible club leaders’ program in Addis Ababa with more than 500 student leaders from 70 schools in attendance. He also trained and encouraged Bible club members in different schools to share the Good News with their peers. About 5000 students had the chance to hear the gospel message. Thank God for 289 new believers who resulted from this program. They are attending discipleship classes in different local churches.

Mon 27. Emmanuel – Cameroun
Emmanuel co-facilitated the training of 17 children and youth Sunday school teachers. He also gave a teaching on Ezra to 40 pastors. Both programs took place in Yaounde. A participant testified, “Your message has helped me accept the mission of Christ for my life. I have come out of spiritual poverty to start a rich life in God.” Thank God for the opportunity to equip leaders for ministry.

Tue 28. Gerard – Congo DR
Gerard organized two Bible camps during Easter. The first was for camp leaders, and seventeen leaders received training during this camp. The second camp for 6-11 year-olds attracted 138 children. Praise God for one child who received Jesus as his personal Savior!

Wed 29. Sibusiso – Swaziland
Sibusiso participated in a one-day fellowship program organized in a rural high school. Eighty students from seven schools participated in this event. Thank God for the exceptional zeal and commitment demonstrated by students. Thank God also for the young leader, Wakhiwe Dlamini, a high school student, who shared the Word of God. Sibusiso also conducted a life-skills program during a World Church youth meeting held in March. Fifty youth were in attendance.

Thu 30. Dickens - Uganda
Dickens and his team visited 17 churches during the quarter to solicit their partnership in the ministry. He preached in 6 of the churches. Thank God for 42 people who responded to his messages by accepting the Lord Jesus as their Savior. Thank God also for 120 volunteers who were recruited and trained to promote the ministry activities.
