Why Nigeria?

Nigeria is the most influential country in Africa.  It is blessed with the continent’s largest population, relative political stability, an abundance of national resources, and remarkable wealth from its huge oil reserves. As the major media and entertainment producer in the region and as a force for peacekeeping efforts across the continent, Nigeria’s popularity and influence continue to increase year after year.  In many ways, Nigeria’s future is Africa’s future.

Sometimes described as an “African superpower,” Nigeria is overwhelmingly significant in almost all areas of African life and thought.  Likewise, Nigeria plays a key role in influencing the future spiritual life on the continent.

Since the first Nigerian state adopted Sharia law in 1999, thousands of Christians have been killed and hundreds of churches burned in the northern states.  With Islam threatening to take over the entire country, the future is bleak if something does not change.
