The main objectives of these programs was to stay in touch with children and young people that have participated in the ministry’s camp since its inception in 2007, to create a sense of belonging and to motivate them to serve the Lord especially through the ministry’s activities.

AMERICAS REGION

Fri 10. Joe and Gloria Mendoza - Columbia

Thank God for a successful summer camp with 130 young people in attendance, half of who were hearing the good news of Jesus for the first time.

Carlos is being brought up by his grandmother, Josefa, in a dysfunctional family environment. He was virtually forced by his grandmother to attend our ministry activities. She was worried about his violent behavior and filthy language. Carlos, through this interaction, has learned the lifestyle of Christ and has made a definite change in the way he now lives. His family is very grateful to God. The family life is getting healthier by the day and the grandmother is overflowing with joy.

Sat 11. Felix Febrero – Argentina

Involved in ministering to 10 to 15 young men that are in the second stage of recovery from drug addiction. Many of them are currently in a stable state. Pray for effective ministry among these young people so they may fully recover and settle into normal life once more.

Three youth ministries combined to organize the annual December camp in Farafenne. It was our first youth camp held outside the state capital, Banjul. Pray that this may lead to an upsurge in the churches’ ministry to these neglected children.

Mon 27. Berhanu – Ethiopia

He conducted Life-skills training for church youth leaders in three hub cities in Southern and Northern Ethiopia. Christmas evangelistic campaigns organized in some areas gave more than 1120 people the opportunity to hear the Good News of Jesus. Forty-five souls were harvested into God’s kingdom during the quarter.

Tue 28. Dickens Zziwa - Uganda

Thank God for a successful Alumni Convention during which efforts were made to re-connect with those who have either benefited from or have been nurtured by the ministry. The event brought together various leaders and key influential people in all sectors of the country. They were all challenged to support the ministry through giving and personal involvement. Pray that this may yield the desired fruit of greater involvement in the ministry.

One of the children attending camp was raised up in a very big polygamous family. Because of this there were continuous scuffles among their mothers and siblings for favor before their dad. He developed evil feelings of wanting to eliminate his siblings who seemed to have won over their father’s attention by either poisoning them or setting them on fire. Praise God that the Gospel penetrated his heart. He has since repented and accepted Jesus as his Savior. Please pray for Gospel transformation in the hearts of the rest of his family and that the evil views and practices and that there would repentance.
