Selection – With decades of experience in ministry and diverse networks of relationships, Worldlink’s International Office and Regional Coordinators have access to organizations and individuals of high Christian character throughout the world. From these relationships, we are able to indentify deeply passionate, highly qualified, and clearly called native Christian evangelists and church planters who can work in their own countries. Each Worldlink native missionary partner:
- serves in areas least penetrated by the gospel
- holds evangelism and discipleship as core goals
- is accountable to indigenous leadership
- can serve for about $30-$250 per month
- works in an area where the local financial support from the Body of Christ simply cannot support even a very modest lifestyle for Christian workers
Our selection network and process works well and has enabled Worldlink to develop native missionary partners in 27 countries around the world.
Training – While most of our partners receive training through local organizations, Worldlink strives to provide resources for additional training for spiritual grounding and effectiveness in ministry. Ideally this takes place at a local or regional level, where the content and context is most helpful.
Worldlink is also involved in helping to provide literature and other study materials to international partners by funding purchases of printed resources in local languages.
Supporting – The areas where our international partners serve have very limited financial resources or very limited Christian presence, often both. Dedicated brothers and sisters find it impossible to engage in evangelism, pioneer church planting or other missionary service without some measure of outside support.
Worldlink provides the modest amount needed to free a called, gifted, and trained Christian to serve full time instead of working another 40-60 hour a week job to feed his or her family. Usually this amount is $100/mo or less. Worldlink does encourage the development of local support, especially in church planting situations, as this creates local ownership of and momentum for the work.
