Our Mission - Why We Exist

Worldlink exists to unleash and support trained local evangelists and church planters in the world’s most challenging areas to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

We want to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in the world’s most challenging areas of the Global South in partnerships with native missionaries, evangelists and church planters – and see millions come to saving knowledge of Him.

To accomplish this, we engage in four primary tasks:

1. Raise the vision of individuals, churches and foundations to see and be concerned about the world harvest.

By all possible means, we call the Church in the West to "lift up your eyes" to the needs and opportunities of the rest of the world.  So often we read in the Bible that Jesus saw the multitudes, was moved with compassion, and then acted to meet their needs.  In the tyranny of our lives, we can easily become narrow in our spiritual vision.  We never see and are never moved by the hopeless plight of so many in our world.  Consequently, we never act (in obedience to God’s commands) to invest in offering them hope.

2. Promote awareness of the unique strategic advantages of partnership with indigenous national missionaries reaching their own countries.

As K.P. Yohannan wrote in Revolution in World Missions, "…around the world the Holy Spirit is breaking over nations… raising up a new army of missionaries.  Thousands of dedicated men and women are bringing the salvation story to their own people- millions of lost souls in closed countries who would probably never learn about the love of God by any other means.  These humble, obscure pioneers of the Gospel are taking up the banner of the cross where colonial missions left off.  They are the third wave of mission history - the native missionary movement."

Worldlink aims to be one of the leading voices informing the church in North America of the advantages of serving alongside our international brothers and sisters.

3. Establish accountability structures on both the giving and receiving sides which allow donors to invest with confidence and good stewardship.

Our worldwide relationships, recruiting process, training and mentoring requirements, and reporting systems assure that the resources invested in indigenous missions are bearing fruit.

4. Promote opportunities for believers living in the developed world to prayerfully partner with national missionaries to reach the nations for Jesus.

To see a need, to know how to proceed, and to have confidence that you can make a difference are of no value unless you have the means to act.  Worldlink provides the practical connection needed to link finances, training opportunities, and materials with qualified, effective native Christians worldwide.
