Olaniyi’s father came from a Muslim background, and his mother at one time was a seller of palm wine (equivalent to running a bar). Both became Christians before his birth. Olaniyi came to saving faith just before entering the university.

“Niyi” as he is known to his friends, came to Worldlink after 15 years of ministry with Scripture Union Africa. The last ten of those years he served as the head of ministry for the entire continent. In this role, he has led ministries in 44 African nations. He is well known and respected by many ministers and organizations across the continent. Prior to entering full time ministry, Olaniyi was the managing director of an air-conditioning and refrigeration company he co-owned in his native Nigeria. He holds an MBA from Lagos University and an engineering degree from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria. He earned a BA in Practical Theology from the London School of Theology in 1993. |
Olaniyi’s first wife passed away in 1999. With her he had five children. In 2002 he married Ibidun. They have two children together. (One of his grandchildren is older than these youngest children.) After more than ten years living and serving in Nairobi, Kenya, the Daramolas have returned to their native Nigeria. Olaniyi is sought after as a speaker, trainer, and mentor.
